AUDI TT RS: The Pocket Rocket Speed Demon

A ‘pocket rocket speed demon' is what this all-new Quattro is called. The Audi TT RS, a just-introduced hardcore model of Audi, impresses many car enthusiasts with its speed, power, and flexibility. Quite a number of praises were given to the RS version of the TT as it amazes a now growing number of followers because of its instant responsiveness to any driver's will.

The Audi TT RS grabs fans initially with its chic styling but grips them tighter with what's hidden under the hood. Fans enumerate the different aspects that make the Audi TT RS the best car performance-wise. In terms of speed, this car is exceptional. The2.5 liter lightweight five-cylinder turbo engine of the Audi TT RS is capable of doing 335bhp, giving a new performance dimension. This car's potential top speed for example, is 180mph, at derestricted pace. This speed demon also has an explosive acceleration of 0 to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds. But there's much more to the Audi TT RS than impressive figures.

TT RS is said to be the fastest in terms of speed and acceleration and to have the best fuel economy, carbon dioxide emissions and residual value prediction. No direct rival from its class has the unique four-wheel drive adapted from the original Quattro system. The RS suitably comes with a new six-speed manual gearbox. At a price of £42,985 OTR for the Coupé 2+2 and £44,885 for the Roadster two-seater, this car really looks a winner.

In terms of styling, the Audi TT RS seems more muscular and taught than the previous TTs. The lines seem to be sharply drawn and the creases are more severe. The all-black cabin, gear lever styling and other interior furnishings also look very pleasing. This look coupled with the thought that it needs less than five seconds to reach 100kph makes it really attractive.

However stylish the Audi TT RS looks though, its stunning performance and handling would always be more appealing. The Audi TT RS's Quattro drive feature makes for the acceleration and huge grip. The speed demon can remain devilishly fast and stable even with the stability aids turned off.

The Audi TT RS can prove to be agile, satisfying and surprisingly steady even when it approaches its speed limit. Owing to the four-wheel drive system of the Quattro, the speed demon simply belts away up the road. Its big breaks and huge grip manages to haul it down from its incredulous speed.

The gear changes are sharp and swift and the steering is accurate. Weighing at 1, 450kg, its lightweight bodyshell composed of 61% aluminum and 39% steel makes it easy to control. The tire grip is so powerful, it is secure and steady in a straight line, and glues to the road even around greasy bends and corners.

With its obvious roots to the original 1980 Quattro, we can say that the Audio TT RS is a traditional diving machine with remarkable and explosive performance. There could be no doubt that it is a pocket rocket speed demon comfortable on a high-speed track.
